So many masonic websites have applied to our "Labore &c. Praemium" award that a new award was created just for them on July 4, 1999.|
The "Geo. Washington Past Master Award" depicts Brother and President Washington in the character of a past master.
The graphic shows Brother Washington in a Lodge of Freemasons. A debt of gratitude is owed to John J. Kestly-George Washington Lodge 60-69, Rota Spain for this outstanding, historical graphic.
Unlike our premier award the "Labore &c. Praemium," there are only six (6) criteria for this award:
Updated Criteria for 2007
(effective January 1, 2007)
1. ONLY MASONIC WEBSITES.
2. NO RESTRICTED ACCESS OR "MEMBERS ONLY" PAGES.
3. NO PORNOGRAPHIC, "ADULTS-ONLY" OR "HATE" SITES.
4. OVERALL EXCELLENCE IN HTML (10 points).
5. EXCELLENCE IN CONTENT (10 points).
6. AND EXCELLENCE IN GRAPHICS (10 points).
Websites will be judged on HTML, content and graphics, but the judging for this award is not so strict as for the "Labore &c. Praemium" Award in order to acknowledge that most Masonic homepages are for the information and encouragement of their members, local citizens, and casual visitors, not to set the internet on fire. Scores of 15 to 30 will win this award.
